New Investor In York, PA and Baltimore area

Hello BP. I live in the York, PA area and work in Baltimore, MD. For the past four years I have worked in sales in the construction industry and most recently the property management industry.

I fell in love with property management and real estate industry and decided I wanted to be on the owner side of the table and not the sales/vendor side. A lifelong friend of mine and I decided to create an investment company LLC almost two years ago. We attempted to buy a house right away and quickly realized we were in no way ready to move forward and that we needed to know alot more about the business...

For the past two years I/we have read dozens of books, done research online and tried to learn as much as possible on REI. I just found Bigger Pockets last week and have think I have learned more in a week reading these posts than I learned in reading 25 books... I welcome any suggestions and look forward to learning more from other "real" investors instead of the "gurus"....
