Been listening for a year, time to jump in and post!

Hi! My name is Nick and I live in the Honolulu area. I am currently active duty Navy and stationed here at Pearl Harbor on the Submarine side. I bought my first property as a condo in Waikiki about 6 months ago, just a 1 bed/1bath. I'm actually in the middle of remodeling my kitchen as we speak! I've got some other plans for it after and doing all the work myself.

I am interested in all about the REI life! For now I want to focus on the Honolulu market while I am still stationed here. I am planning on trying to buying another condo in the 6-8 month time frame and wanting make that a live and flip while I rent out the current one, either as a vacation rental or a traditional rental.

Anyone got any good experience in the Waikiki area for rentals of any type? I would love to pick your brain about your experience!

@Isi Nau I have been looking into some numbers for both vacation rentals and traditional. I'll be in hawaii for around 3 more years so I feel pretty confident I can finish my time here with 3 properties total. I would be interested in multi units but I haven't been able to find any that are in a ball park for me. If you know of any or where I could find more info I would love to take a look!
