New member from Mesa Arizona

Hey everyone my name is James Thompson and I am brand new to the thought of using real estate as a much larger part of my overall portfolio. 

My background is in internet marketing and I have been promoting products and ideas since 2002. 

Over the last 6 years our business exploded and got my business partner and I actively involved in real estate just to purchase and to lease back to ourselves. As our needs changed I became the landlord point of contact for tenants and we built a team to take care of any maintenance or anything that would be needed. 

I am ready to go out and start building my family's portfolio now. We had to move a couple years ago for our primary company so as our properties up north become vacant we have agreed we will sell them off so we can each do what we choose with the cash. 

I have decided to go work on getting my real estate licence since it seems to synergize very well with the investor mindset. I love solving problems and building win win situations for all parties involved. 

Our primary company now has a management team in place and I am no longer needed for day to day activities.

I like career paths that your success is built on just yourself and your personal actions. 

In the end I am working towards operating my own property management company that offers exemplary service to its customers. 

I will be joining the AZREIA and will be at May's meeting if any BiggerPocket members want to say hi. 

Looking forward to this new road I am venturing down and I am sure I am going to have a ton of questions.
