New to Investing but Not New to Real Estate

Hi Everyone!

My name is Rebecca, a CT native who has been living in the Greater Nashville, TN area for the last ten years.  My interest in real estate investing was born about fifteen years ago when I read Rich Dad, Poor Dad.  I went as far as getting a real estate agent and looking for properties to buy, but then I got cold feet and lost all confidence in myself.  I then set aside the notion of investing for a while, until about three years ago when my boyfriend found his first flip, while at the same time, I was looking to make a career change.

Fast forward to present day and I now have my real estate license.  I have been a Realtor for two years full and part-time and I've learned so much.  My goal is to work as an agent for a few years more in order to really educate myself and then I just want to invest in properties for myself.  I am most interested in investing in rentals, particularly short-term vacation rentals.  My issue is funding right now, so I am learning about creative ways to acquire capital.  I am also reading everything I can get my hands onto so I can beat the learning curve.

I'm thrilled to be here.  I have read Brandon's books and I feel inspired.  I am hoping to make something happen within the next three months...wishful thinking perhaps, but it could happen!
