Newbie from Savannah, GA
Hello!
My name is Kendall, I recently moved to Savannah, GA last September when I took a job in slate roofing sales. My job is to teach continued education courses to architects, and while I love what I do, I have always been self-motivated and I would like to reach a point where I'm working for myself.
For a while now I have had an interest in getting involved in real estate, namely rental properties. Until now, it has been a rather passive interest, I'll admit, but I'm feeling motivated to start moving forward. Savannah is a gorgeous city that is a very popular tourist destination. Additionally, there seems to be a high rental demand; there are two military bases, the (rather expensive) Savannah College of Art and Design, Armstrong University, and Gulfstream (which employs hundreds, if not thousands, of people). I think it would be a great place to start my rental "empire".
I would love to chat with you all and see what I can do to get this dream closer to a reality!

Hi Kendall,
Congrats on taking the leap to get into this great market! I'm in Savannah and am a full time real estate investor, doing flips, rentals and the BRRR strategy. Some other posters have gotten burned dealing with crappy tenants and I understand their frustration with certain aspects of being a landlord, but it comes with the territory. I just put under contract a 3/1 SFR that rents for $950 a month, tenant already in place, for $67,000. If you would like get the details, shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to send you pictures and further details.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Curtis
