Finding my way to start investing!
Hello Community, I've been a BP member for a bit but haven't posted yet! I listen to the podcast nonstop! I'm Not looking for a get rich fast path, but a long term investing career for years to come. I am looking to put in the work and make it my full time venture. I am a personal trainer with quite a bit of time on my hands, so I will be able to devote my time to it. My wife is a teacher and we have two daughters, one is 21 months old and one is brand new, 5 weeks old! I am doing this for them, so that we can be together as a whole and I can raise them myself rather than how society seems to be raising kids these days with television and school system. Anyhow, we bought our first house last August (2016) in which we currently live in, in Southern California (the furthest southern you can go lol).
I am currently studying an online course to get my real estate license. I decided it would be a great way to start and to learn the knowledge I need. I've met with people I know who invest to get their stories and paths they took to financial freedom, but I'm not done listening! I always love hearing new ways and paths, so I accept advice and opinions! I very much believe in proverbs 12:15 "the way of a fool seems right in his own eyes, but a wise man seeks advice".
If you can leave me your success stories in a short summary, that'd awesome and motivational for me! I originally had intentions of starting out by buying rentals, but met with an investor who started out flipping to raise capital and eventually bought rentals in which he now has 40. So since I'm starting with no capital, I'm thinking that may be a faster route to financial freedom! Thank you all!
