Local REIA - Las Vegas

Good afternoon everyone!

I've been listening to the podcast for the past few months trying to get caught up from podcast #1 to the most current. Might as well listen to everything they have to say on there, right?

Reason I am posting is because I am trying to find some local REI groups here in Las Vegas. I found a REIA that is $150/yr for a single membership and was wondering if there was anyone on here who is a member and would suggest either way if it is a worthy use of my time/money.

My goal within the next few months is to put in the time/money to receive a real estate license. I have a friend that I used to work with that is actually an agent in the area and he has been giving me some useful information. I haven't ventured the forums enough so I've been visiting more or more and trying to get myself out there.

I'm excited to start this path. Currently, I have a full-time job, but instead of letting that inhibit me from pursuing a real estate business due to time constraints, I will use it as the financial foundation on which I will build my success.

Thanks in advance for your replies!
