hi everyone,
Brand new to the game. I'm 40 years old and looking to get out of the corporate world for the second act of my career. I know I can't immediately step away from the day job, but would love some tips on how to make that happen sooner rather than later.
I'm interested primarily in rental properties, but I'm willing to take on a flip if the deal is right. I'm also interested in buy and hold on farmland.
I have an academic background in GIS (custom mapping and data visualization), and I do some of that freelance, including setting up a pretty impressive crime watch program with a HOA in the area. I may try to expand that work as I get into real estate investing. I think there's some synergy there.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Nathan
