New to BP: Baltimore MD

Hello to the BP Community,

Just wanted to introduce myself and share my story with everyone on BP.  I'm a firefighter by trade which offers an opportunity to take on other work in my free time.  I'm located in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area but will be focused in Baltimore, MD.  I will be making my first purchase hopefully within the next few weeks.  Over the past year I have focused on educating myself and putting together my business model, goals, and been to over 25 properties to try and better myself in preperation to be successful.  I am focused on acquiring at least two single family homes over the next year and will then evaluate my success and short comings. 

My first property if things go to plan will be located in the Curtis Bay nieghborhood and will be a cash offer.  "Looking for that deal."  This rental will be a housing choice voucher program rental and I will be managing the property myself.  

Any and all advice is welcomed, good or bad.
