Hello BP, I am Mitchell from Stratford, Ontario. I have been listening to BP podcasts and reading the forums for a while now and I am extremely grateful for what I have learned so far. First a quick recap on what got me to this point. I am in my early twenties and work at a structural engineering firm. A coworker that I went to school with and I are going to form a company and buy a couple rental properties. We decided we want to form a company rather than doing it on our own so we can renovate properties together, have a second opinion, share responsibilities and take advantage of tax write offs. Our end goal is to design, build and rent out senior housing because of the demand there will be in the future. Our plan to get there is to rent out multi family and student rentals. we want to use all of the cash flow to continually buy more rental properties. When the rental properties are paid off we will sell them off and invest in the senior rental properties. The areas we are concentrating on right now are multi family homes in Stratford and London and student rentals in London in the Fanshawe and Western area. We are currently searching for deals and running numbers. My partner and I both have experience in construction, are hardworking and motivated. We have a couple mentors that are in the business but would love the chance to connect with other likeminded people in the area. we are wondering if anyone is in the current markets that we looking in and what they have been doing to track down deals.
