New Member Looking to Purchase in Denver
I've spent countless hours scouring BP and am so appreciative of all of the great comments and people that you can find here. I am interested in purchasing my first property in the Denver area and am looking for realtor and lender suggestions. I am currently in the process of getting pre-qualified, but I have a pretty good idea of what I can afford. Here is my strategy:
-Essentially looking for my first investment property. I intend to live in it for 2-5 years and then rent
-Buy and hold strategy
-Ideally would be small multifamily to house-hack (depends on pricing and availability). If not, a small detached single family house (~2 bed/1 bath)
-Something that is livable, that I could put in a little elbow grease over the next 2-5 years to bring it to "broker beige"
-West side of Denver - something "up and coming" (Barnum, Villa Park, West Colfax)
I look forward to trying to add as much to this community as I can and appreciate all of the help already. In the foreseeable future, I will probably be asking for lender and realtor recs.
Thanks in advance!
