Hello BP amigos,

I’m Dominic Schroeder a newbie to real estate investing. I live in Rineyville, Kentucky, a small town outside of Fort Knox. I’m active duty Army at Fort Knox and planning towards my retirement even though its years away. I’m looking to buy my first planned real estate investment here in Kentucky this year. I say it like that because my first home turned into a rental once I moved across country. I thought things were as easy as finding a property manager and “done deal.” We learned there are more costs associated with renting out your home the hard way.

My long term goal is to retire from the military and have enough rentals generating cash flow so that my income doesn’t change once I retire. My short term goal is to get my real estate license this year and buy my first buy and hold rental property. The army has tuition assistance to help pay for my real estate education which is awesome!

I love target shooting with firearms and archery. Kentucky is a great place for both.
