New Houston, TX Investor - 2017 plans
Hello fellow BP members!
My name is Brendan Flores and I am new to real estate and will be a new homeowner this year! I have big goals for 2017, and a lot of questions. As a basic outline, I will be closing on a triplex/4plex in Q1 2017 and executing the house hacking strategy outlined in @brandonturner’s books. Once I’ve rehabbed and got it cash flowing (by end Q2), I would like to move on and do a rehab and flip in Q3-Q4 to build some capital for my next investment. I think it’ll be a busy year!
I've been searching for a 3-4 unit multifamily in the 610 loop of Houston. I also want to do some rehab to force some equity in the house. However, I met with my first lender yesterday, and he said 203k loans are only for up to duplex homes. I know this is not the case since I've read on the HUD website the 203k can be for 1-4 unit properties. Does anyone have the name of a good 203k lender in Houston?
Anyways, hello, and thank you to all who volunteer their time to help others on this website! I’ve already learned so much from you guys and gals. I'd love to hear any thoughts y'all have about what I've mentioned above!
