New Pro Member from Hickory, NC

I'm Todd, and I'm a new member to Bigger Pockets, Pro. My Dad has invested in real estate for over 20 years, and I have helped him rehab, flip and care for his rental properties and tenants along the way.  I am excited to begin making my own real estate investments, I'm mostly interested in owning rental properties in hopes to give my family financial freedom and be able to spend more time with my daughters and wife. 

I am currently looking in Catawba County, NC and the surrounding areas for my first rental property purchase. I would love to hear any advice you have on finding investors, and things you wished you'd known before purchasing your first rental property.

I’m not sure if you had found any other investors but there is a great group that meets every month in Hickory. They usually have guest speakers and a great group of investors. I haven’t been I a while but we are planning on buying out for first rental this year so I’ll be going back soon. I hope all is well since the post!
