Hello everyone and happy new year.

I am an ex-Army pilot currently working full time as an air ambulance helicopter pilot in southeast Arizona. My goal is to make real estate investing my primary form of income, and to eventually stop flying as a job. I have given myself seven years to accomplish this goal.

During my time in the military, I purchased a house in all but two of my duty assignments. Later on, those properties became rentals. Unfortunately, these properties were purchased at close to market value, so the cash flow wasn't what it should have been. But we managed to stay in the black. At the time of this post I still own one property in AL, besides my private home. Since I moved, 4 years ago, the property has remained rented continuously.

Now that real estate investing is my main priority, I will concentrate on the "BRRRR" strategy to build my portfolio and increase passive income. I look forward to learning and contributing here in BP. I don't have a ton of experience, but maybe I picked some small bit of knowledge along the way that may help another novice like me.

If you are in the Tucson area, feel free to send me a "pm", we'll grab some coffee.
