New real estate student from St Louis, MO 63376
Hello Everyone! my name is Devin Bettorf, I'm a new member to the forums looking to learn as much as possible about real estate. Anything and everything! I am a person that always likes to learn new things and make connections to all that I already know. I currently work in Commercial and residential roofing material company called Gulfeagle Supply. I have been interested in real estate for awhile and always seem to have a bug to get into business, real estate, entrepreneur mindset.
I'm looking to get involved in Real Estate after the first of the year, after I have established a healthy money management system for my fiancé and I. (Buying our first home in march, getting married the following September.)Then I can continue and buy my first property or become a sponge for learning. I am very much interested in getting into Buy and Hold rentals and Multi-family environments. While doing this I want to learn from seasoned experienced investors by adding value to them in any way I can whether that is put together paperwork, help in analysis (with instruction on how to of course) bring individuals in my area deals. I learn very well by doing and applying what I learn.
For seasoned investors, is there any particular things I need to do to begin? any ways I can find a way to add value to you on my own? What is a skill I can learn during this helping process? I am opening the floor please let me know how you have started and what you wish you did in the beginning, etc?

@Devin Bettorf I started at the library. Read every book on the real estate shelf. Plus, there were podcasts about business development that outlined important habits for success. Money management is on the list, you are on the right path.
You mentioned home buying in March. Can you read a book before then? Start with the book by Robert Irwin, How to Get Started in Real Estate Investing.
