Medical Student wanting to learn about CRE

Hello everyone my name is Paul and I have recently been accepted to medical school and will be starting next fall. Having a career path essentially set and that will provide me with a 6 figure income, I want to learn how I can be smart with my money and invest in things that will provide me additional streams of income. CRE is a new field of interest for me but I know there is a lot of potential for me to grow and learn.

Much like my path into medicine, I know being successful with researching, investing and other components of CRE will take a lot of hard work and dedication but I am ready to learn. I have a friend who owns his own real estate company who is allowing me to shadow him to ask questions and learn; but if anyone has suggestions or other ideas to learn about CRE and get more experience please let me know!
