Hello BP Community! I am a new member here from the north Texas region. A year ago I purchased 4 acres that had a house on it being sold "as is". I quickly named this eye sore the "crack house" because it was so fitting. Without a doubt we were going to level the crack house and build a new home on this beautiful piece of property that has trees, a creek at the back of the property, a nationally ranked school district for our girls, and on a quiet road. Little did I know that for the next year I would be working two jobs and renovating the house. This has to be one of the hardest things I have ever taken on in my life! Working the day job in corporate America, and then changing clothes to work on the crack house until midnight-2am. I would go home, grab a few hours of sleep, and repeat the next day.

From this experience I have found that I truly LOVE seeing the results of my hard work. It is NOT easy and often times very frustrating, especially when you're having to pay for everything out of your savings account. However, the numerous nights working alone on the house I kept wondering if there was a way to support my family doing something I truly loved. I began reading some real estate books in my spare time (sarcasm). These books were read on the plane and in the hotel rooms while on business for my day job. This is how I came across BG.

I am looking to continue my education in real estate, try to minimize expensive mistakes, seek mentorship with people that are willing to offer legitimate information/guidance and not trying to "sell" me on something, better understand how to work with investors to fund the projects I want to tackle, and over all guidance around how I can take my competitive, detail oriented, results driven, hard charging work ethic and attitude to provide my family financial freedom. I would love to finally say adios to corporate America, establish my own business, positively impact those around me, and when I grow old and look back on my life, know in my heart that I truly LIVED and made an impact!

I look forward to learning, growing, and meeting new people!

Respectfully,

Brian
