Hi everyone, My name is Scott Logan. I'm 58 and new to real estate. I was born and raised here in Houston and my wife and I purchased our home here in Spring in 1996. I work in sales in the healthcare field. My goals are to flip houses to get the money to buy rental properties to build passive income. I'm working my way through the podcasts and I just finished #9.

My 1 year plan is to work with a wholesaler a friend told me about, NetWorth Realty because they have what I call a turn-key operation and my time is limited. They find the deals, they have a list of contractors if you don't, they have the hard money, and they sell the house after rehab. As far as I can tell their charges are within range and as long as the numbers work I'm willing to make less profit to get the education I need to learn this business and make contacts.

I've been very impressed with these forums and the advise given to help each other. So any advise is appreciated!

I'm looking to meet and talk to other positive like minded individuals who are doing this. Are there any networking meetings in Spring Texas or the north side?

Scott

@Scott Logan

Tagging someone sends them a notice that someone mentioned them and makes it more likely that they will return to the thread and participate. Unless you click Follow at the top of the thread, you won't get notification of any new conversation (you started this thread so you automatically are Following it). So if you someone replied and you want to continue the conversation with them, they might not see that you had something to say. Additionally, you can also tag people not even involved in the conversation if you feel they have something to add or know it's something they would like to talk about.

For example, Dimitriy specializes in Solo 401ks. If someone had a question about that and I saw that, I might tag him to make him aware of such a question for him to join in on the conversations.
