My interest in real estate first piqued while listening to Paula Pant (from AffordAnything) mention her real estate work on Mad Fientist's podcast. I've been interested in financial independence for the last year or so and have recently made a lot of changes to my personal life to work towards freedom from using my time in inefficient/undesirable ways. I've made huge improvements in my personal finance, spending choices, and made significant contributions towards paying off my loans. I'm sure all of this will help contribute towards a strong foundation from which to build my real estate business, one step at a time!

Right now, I'm really interested in house hacking through multi-family homes. A few situations are up in the air for me in my personal life, but by sometime in the middle of next year I should have enough information about where my life is taking me (as well as significantly more real estate know-how compared to my current nascent seed of knowledge), and I'm planning to find some deals and make an offer on my first property before the end of 2017. After that, I'm really interested in branching out into Buy and Hold and implementing the BRRR strategy, both seem to be really common in my position and all the podcasts on the subject have been really interesting. I love the variety of topics out there in the RE world, and they've all sparked my curiosity intensely.

On a more personal side of things, I'm a musician, have a huge interest in meditation/Buddhism/East Asian philosophy, and have also been teaching myself programming/software development in the recent months.
