Hello all!

I've been lurking the BiggerPockets articles and podcasts for about a week now, but tonight will be my first venture into the forums. I can't wait to read the posts, interact with some of you investors at all levels, and learn as much as I can.

A little about me and why I'm here...
I'm 32, single, and a full time military member who's tired of the grind and playing the games with less than optimal returns in terms of compensation and quality of life, so I'll be looking to get out at the end of my current contract in 2 years.  The short term plan will be to land a government contractor position in Las Vegas (hopefully), and buy my first home with hopes of buying more properties to have multiple streams of income. Eventually I'd love to be able to not have to "go to work" anymore and live off of the income from investment properties. But in the meantime, I'll use these remaining 2 years to LEARN as much as possible from here and any other source I may come across and of course get rid of my dreaded credit card debt in preparation to buy my first property.

I look forward to scouring BiggerPockets at every chance I get and learning from those of you who've been in my very shoes before.
