New Investor in Southeastern Wisconsin

Hello all!

I am brand new to real estate investing and am excited to get my start with my first property hopefully the first half of 2017. A partner and myself have been studying real estate, building up a network, and saving capital for about a year now, and am just about ready to jump in. For now, operations are taking place from Milwaukee to Beloit, and several towns in between. For now we're mostly interested in buy and holding low to mid priced duplexes in the area, but will surely expand our scope with time. The ultimate goal is to become completely financially independent from a full time job. Currently just a teenager, but I figured its best to start sooner rather than later. I look forward to the wealth of information and insight Bigger Pockets provides!
