Hello BP Community,

So excited to be here. Have been listening to the podcast over the last few weeks and figured it was time to get online and start checking this place out, as well as networking.

I'll be turning 26 next month and I'm currently in school for a second degree at UCF. I graduated from Florida State in 2013 with my first degree in sport management. Spent a couple of years holding various jobs, from working in the Miami Dolphins' digital department, to sales for Yelp in NYC.

I've always been interested in real estate and after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad and other books, I realized I need to invest if I want to retire at a comfortable age, but I also needed more income to get started - hence the going back to school and career change. A $36,000/year salary in NYC and $10/hour at the Dolphins just wasn't going to cut it.

I'm now studying accounting and hope to eventually get my CPA and go onto work for a Big 4 for a few years.

I work a couple of part-time jobs now, including one I just picked up at a local mortgage company. I'll be handling marketing for them, but I'll also slowly get more involved in the loan application/approval process so I'm looking forward to getting some in depth knowledge there.

Looking forward to getting to know some people on the site and hopefully moving closer towards my first investment!
