Newbie from Baltimore, MD

Hello everyone,
I have been wanting to do real estate investment for the past four years but never got the courage to do so.  I have worked as a nurse for the past twelve years and would like to do something that will increase my portfolio.  My goal is to have at least one rental property by next year.  I have no experience, and I am ready to soak up as much knowledge as possible to become a success.  I welcome any advice to help me reach my goal.
