No/Bad Credit...Hope for a Vet to own?

Hello,

Well I wanted to try to minimize our (my brother and I) situation in the subject area.

Is there any hope for someone with VERY BAD credit (me) but with steady and hopefully secure income (social security) along with my brother with virtually NO credit or so so credit who unfortunately is unemployed at the moment but let's consider for these purposes that he would have a job at time of purchase (QUESTION...does a vet HAVE TO have a job for over a year to get a VA Home Loan?)...Anyway...under the above circumstances, is there any HOPE that we could buy a house for ownership or he could buy an investment property with me as a renter with some kind of setup with social security and the bank to guarantee the payment on the mortgate comes straight from my ss check? Yes, it is complicated, but we are desperate ... living with our sister right now...
