Can anyone afford to start investing in the SF Bay?
Hi all, I'm new to BP. I am very interested in buying my first home and/or property in the next year, but I live in the SF Bay area. I don't have a lot of capital but I am getting educated on buying using creative means. I am considering "house-hacking" by using an FHA loan to get started. I would love to pick more experienced investor's brains about the SF bay area market, getting started, and really everything else! Thanks so much for taking the time to collaborate with a new investor.

It's one year Erik, but best execution for nomads with good credit is actually 5% down freddie/fannie for DTI reasons as well as often cheaper mortgage insurance.
