Brand New Skin in the Game from the Gulf South

Live from a nondescript bedroom in one of the 64 parishes of the Pelican State, it is I, Ronald, gracing my presence on the BiggerPockets forum.

Okay, enough theatrics, here is a little about me: Single, early 30's, no kids, high school graduate, didn't finish college but plan to one of these days, originally from the beautifully historic Crescent City (New Orleans, Louisiana -- who dat!), and finally what I bring to the table is bubbling potential and ambition.

Being on the brink of reaching a major milestone of paying off my first auto loan (a $600+ burden) has placed me at a crossroads in life that is both exciting and unfamiliar: finally at a point where I won't feel shackled or constrained by limited finances -- my bills are shrinking. On the other hand, I still have this strong itch to just get up and start life anew in another major metropolis.

Logic keeps fighting with me, reinforcing to me of the beauty of my position: I make adequate income, though I haven't had much to show for these past two years. Yet if I just sit still and continue to earn in the next few years, depending on what decisions and investments I make I can provide a solid foundation towards building my nest egg.

That's where this growing interst in real estate investing comes in.

I flirted with the idea in my younger days, but as I considered my meager income, my interest waned.

Also, I'm tired of being a tenant. Tired of combing through endless databases in search of the perfect rental only to be disappointed in one fashion or another. Tired of throwing my hard-earned money at these increasingly high rents without any equity being built. Time to change roles and own something for once.

And I want to be fully immersed in this game -- wholesaling, flips, fixer-uppers, multi-family, the list goes. I can travel, earn while traveling, travel so I can earn more. Learn various local markets so I can conquer them (in a good way of course).

I don't want any bounds; however, this is suppose to be an introduction so I'm going to close and thank anyone for reading this complete post.
