New to real estate investing

I currently work for the US postal service.  My wife is a full time nurse.  We are currently trying to learn all we can in investing in real estate. We just bought our first home a year ago and are eager to start buying homes for rental income under 50k in value in the central west Florida area.  Any advice or information you are willing to share with us, will be greatly appreciated.
