Hello.  I am also looking into tax lien investing. I just finished reading a really informative book called the Secret synergy group system for investing in tax lien certificates. It  only took me about 2 days to read and had alot of great info.

@Heather Mills More than half of the United States sell tax deeds and if you are to get involved with a tax deed state you will be acquiring the property.  The rest of the states sell tax liens and though there are strategies you can use to make your tax lien investing more profitable, most people like to start out small and slow until they are familiar with the process and know what they want to do.  One thing for certain, tax deed investing requires more capital but can yield you more.  If you do get involved with tax deed investing I cannot stress due diligence enough.  It is very important to know what you are bidding on and to stop once you have reached your ceiling.  You will be participating in auctions with tax liens and tax deeds, and even though there are some tax deeds and tax liens available after the auction, the most to choose from is at the auctions.  It can very lucrative if you work things right.  There are many people with good ideas here on BP.  Welcome aboard!
