Homebuyer and RE Startup founder in NYC

Hi everyone. I am in the middle of buying a foreclosed home in Morris County, NJ to rehab and move my family from Queens in NYC. Will be my first fixer but my father has been in RE (Tennessee) for some time and I have a buddy who is a general contractor to do the work.

My day job is as a sr manager at a large software company and I am working on a startup to help others with the issues I had finding a property I wanted at a discount. 

I am here to learn, especially regarding methods and tools used to find suitable properties (I will be setting up a new thread for that). This is a great site and thanks in advance for all the warm welcomes!
