Hello to the Bigger Pockets community.

My name is Dustin Jamison and I live in Brunswick, OH which is about 30 minutes south of Cleveland.

I am new to Real Estate investing as I have a full time job as an IT Manager of a large corporation. I have always been interested in Real Estate since I won a Monopoly Tournament when I was 10 years old (yes I know being good at Monopoly doesn't translate to real life Real Estate!)

I have listened to about 25 Bigger Pockets podcasts, read most every guide on the site and have lurked in the forums for the past 2 months.  The amount of knowledge that I have today vs 8 weeks ago is astonishing.  So much so that after last nights Webinar, I decided to go PRO and start really getting the benefits of this great site.

I have created my business plan and as of today my goals in REI are to purchase lower priced Single Family homes with 2+ bedrooms that are in neighborhoods within a 5 area code area. I then plan to hire contractors to rehab these home in the effort to sell them to mostly first time home buyers that need affordable homes in good school districts that I have laid out in my area code list.

My next steps are to network to find good contractors, agents, lawyers, CPAs and title companies in my area so I can hopefully do my first property purchase in January of 2017.

So if anyone has any suggestions of people or just general tips for me, I am always open to suggestions.

Thanks Jeff. I have just ordered your book and will definitely read it this weekend. I loved that game so much that nobody in my family will ever play me because I take it very seriously! I am interested in seeing how you convey your love of that game for the love of REI.
