Newbie Hoping to meet experts in RE investment @greater Vancouver

Hello everyone, 

My name is Roz and new to BP and real estate investment. I live in Surrey, BC. This summer I attend keyspire seminar and it really opened our eyes to real estate investment. However, the membership was too expensive for us and we decided to save that money for down payment and build our own expert team ( e.g. Investor realtor, lawyer, accountant , interior designer, contractor,....). 

We are trying to crunch the numbers to see how we can invest in lower mainland (as it is going to be our first RE investment so we are more comfortable to have it close to us) but it is really challenging to find one with reasonable return.

I would really appreciate any feedback
