New Investor/Landlord in Albany, NY

Hi, Folks!  My wife and I moved to Albany in 2015, and, as a hedge against extended Union strikes (I'm in telecom by trade), opted to purchase a 4-unit to live in instead of a single-family home.  Year-1 went well enough that we're seriously beginning to look at buy-and-hold with multi-families, with the hope of acquiring enough property to allow me to retire early.

It'll be a few years before the next purchase, so I'm primarily looking for advice on property management (which we'll be doing ourselves for the time being), how to evaluate and select an accountant, when to bring in the services of an attorney, etc, so we're as prepped as possible for the next deal.

Looking forward to working with the community at BP!
