Robert from Maryville, TN (South of Knoxville)
Hello BP!!!!!!!!! Im Robert Arbegast I am 27 and have a family with my high school sweetheart and we have 2 crazy sons (8 and 2 years old). Brief history of my boring life. Upon graduating from Maryville High school, I married my wife and enlisted into the the Marine Corps and served 8 years from 2008 to 2016. I enlisted as a infantryman and though the past 8 years had been a adventure and full of life experiences. It was time to get out and make up for the missed birthdays and holidays. So I packed my wife and two wonderful boys up and we moved back to what we know as home. I got out of the military in July 2016 and I'am currently working with my uncle at Steel Plate Fabricators in Knoxville, TN as a assistant welder. I have always been good with my hands wether it be cars, wood, metal, electrical, or plumbing I've had my paws in it. With that said I've come to realize that those skills will not provide me or my family with the life I want to give them. I grew up in the lower class moved around a lot and even spent a year or two in section 8 and theres nothing wrong with that. Im a firm believer that everything that you experience is a reflection of who you are. An I wouldn't be who I am today with out my past life experiences. Which brings me to BP, I was working a job the other day that was rather labor intensive so I through my headphones in and started listening to music. Well we all know that gets old fast. So I noticed these podcasts on the media player and I started looking well I came across Dave Ramsey. I must have listened to him for the whole day. Well it got me thinking, this man has it all worked out. Then it hit me that most of his talk was about debt and paying off mortgages. Well I thought to myself and said, "self what better way to pay off a mortgage then with a mortgage?.?.?". That got me thinking about real-estate, which led me to looking on the podcast about real-estate. Just so happens I ran across BP and said, "thats a catchy title. I wonder what there about...". Well here I am a good 70 podcasts later.
I love the podcasts and Im still learning the website but I love it. The vibe the motivation I just love it.
Listen people of BP, Ive ordered a few books and I literally just paid for my local online real-estate license courses. Whats next, I know to read the books and pass the agent test but what else can I read or learn that you all recommend?
