Hello BP!

Hey BiggerPockets!

My name is Dennis. I'm 27 and live in Massachusetts. I read somewhere (probably on BP!) something along the lines of if you ever won the lottery, what would you do with your life. The answer being what you should do with your life. Or something like that. Well I can tell you without hesitation that real estate is my answer. Flipping houses, rentals, house hacking, etc.

I am eager and motivated to dive into REI, but am currently being held back by a few factors. I just recently acquired my first credit card and, having zero previous credit history, must now wait several months until I receive a credit score. In the meantime I will continue working my retail job that I hate with the fire of a thousand Suns so I can continue to save as much money as possible to invest with. I am 100% debt free and have very few monthly expenses, so I feel like I'm in a good position financially to start investing.

I will also use this time to get educated, though there is only so much you can get from reading and watching videos. I believe the best education comes from hands on experience. My mother was a real estate agent years ago, and both my parents have owned a rental. My uncle currently owns several. They are all supportive and can provide a great deal of assistance should I need it along the way (and I will)! I will of course always be looking for help and tips from BP!

So that's my current situation. I hope to connect with fellow BP members to discuss many topics, as I begin towards my goal of financial independence!
