Hi guys, I'm currently living in Westchester Ny and will be relocating down to South Carolina due to my job. A little bit about myself, I served in the Navy from 2006-2010 got out and used my Post 911 Gi Bill and decided to get my degree. I finished school and currently work in a corporate job, I also currently have my real estate license in New York and have worked with buyers and sellers part time.  I have been saving up to buy a multifamily here in New York but as you may already know it's expensive here, the opportunity arose to relocate for my job down to SC so I am going take it.

I am excited to be moving but am not familiar with the market.  Does anyone know if Greenville, Spartanburg, or Simpsonville (or any other surrounding areas) are better for a live in flip or better for rentals to do a house hack. My goal is to use the money I saved up and my income to do a live in flip and also possibly get another investment property at the same time.  I am going down in November to check out the area to see if I am going to even like it, also considering getting a rental on either a month to month or 6 month contract so I could have time to better understand the market and not jump on the first property I see. Anyways any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
