just starting out

Hello my name is Blair.  I'm just starting out in real estate investing.  I've always been a stock market guy but would like to diversify into RE.  I'm not sure where to start in becoming a landlord and slowly building a rental stream of income.  There are a lot more details and expense involved with real estate compared to stocks.  Anyone in the same situation or have any tips?  Thank you!
