Hello and welcome to BP!  You are where I went to college and graduated from there ( in 1980 ).  I stil live in Dallas County.  The Internet and the computer are becoming more important and are critical knowledgable things to use in promoting what you do.  Your ability to use them can make all of useful in your income.  Knowledge of your niche and market is critical.  Whatever you can do better by knowing those things along with real estate knowledge.

I am 60 years old and typically have a bunch to say.  I have been in the construction business since I was 17 years old including those college years.  I also held a real estate active license for about 30 years though I never did that full time.  Having a website is criticle for most people.  Daily use of the Internet is becoming important.  Do not try to do everything yourself.  Do not cut any corners on anything just to make something look better on paper.

The neighberhood is more dependent on you sucess of your invested property.  Having local Team members that are experienced are critical in your sucess.  One thing about being on the Internet makes you more vulnerable to the mind of competition and makes the things you say can help other people.  There some guys in Austin (Paperless Agents) that are teaching people how to be more competitive in what you do and the computer density that you display.  It is mostly concentrated on marketing on the computer to get results.

I must tell you that they offer training over the Internet for a fee.  They both have about 20 years on real estate and marketing.  Be as honest and productive at doing what you promote.  Use education as a way to get possible sales and leads over the Internet.  They say that know-a-days start and spend much time on the Internet and getting on your site is important. Having links are essential to selling.  So are Apps that are mobile friendly. Is important. Good luck to you!
