New investor seeking knowledge and friends

Hello Everyone,

I am a very new investor, however technically you could say that I've done 2 deals, though I really consider 1 as official.  The non official one my father purchased (with my recommendation) in Portland, Oregon at the bottom of the market in 2012, I put in a bunch of sweat equity cleaning up the property and doing some minor remodeling in the kitchen and bathroom.  With the remodel and an upturn in the market we did really well and this allowed myself and my wife to buy our first home...a Duplex in which we live in the smaller unit and rent out the larger unit.  Though stressful at times, it has proven very successful having someone pay most of our first mortgage for us.

In the last year I have also procured my Property Management license and am working on building my business part time with an end goal of making property management and ultimately investment my full time gig.

I am currently seeking more knowledge and friends in the industry so I will be able to build that wealth and cash flow that will allow me to what I desire.

I'm excited to be part of the BiggerPockets community and look forward to working with some of you!

Best Regards,

-Josh
