Greetings BP community!

My name is Ryan MacNamara, and I've been a registered BP member for a few weeks now, browsing through articles and podcasts and forums, and would like to introduce myself to the community at large.

Three months ago, I knew absolutely nothing about either real estate OR investing. Then, a dear friend of mine put a copy of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" into my hands and suggested that I read it. The book gave me cause to shift my perspective from a near-sighted "live-only-for-the-moment" mentality to a longer-term, "oh-no-I-might-live-to-the-age-of-60-and-have-nothing" awareness. So, I started taking an interest in financial literacy. Currently, I still know next to nothing about investing, but I'm learning, and I know more than I knew a couple of months ago. That friend that put the book in my hand introduced me to BP, and for the first time in my life, I've become interested in real estate.

I am in my second week of real estate sales licensure classes. Here in PA, the requirement is 60 hours, and classes run for 8 weeks. I'm hoping real estate sales can be a viable supplement for my current income.

I work part-time as a lab tech for a small cosmetics R&D lab in NJ, and have a little soap crafting business on the side. I enjoy acting in local stage and film productions, and volunteering for the local food pantry and other nonprofits in my area.

I'm glad to be here on BP! Feel free to reach out and say hi.

Cheers,

Ryan
