Hi! I am new in real estate investing and I need all the help and knowlege to become a successful investor. As a starter in this business, I would like to focus on wholesaling, and perhaps branch out to different types of real estate investments. I would appreciate your thoughts and expertise on this area.

I'll be one of the few to discourage you from wholesaling. I think wholesaling can be a great choice but for beginners I think it is well beyond what most can accomplish. The learning curve is huge and you need to know all of the parks of investing; rehab, negotiations, contracts, laws, marketing, running numbers and the list goes on. As recommended, read those articles as above to get an idea of what it takes. Keep in mind, wholesaling isn't necessarily investing. It does become a job until you can job it all out to others but it means answering phone calls, emails, and marketing at weird hours.

That being said, I'm not knocking wholesaling but just cautioning against the headaches the gurus don't inform you of.
