Hello BP community,

I recently moved to Chesapeake Virginia, with my wife Hadley. I work as an Aviation Maintenance Technician in the Coast Guard and prior to working in Aviation I was stationed in Southern California on a Coast Guard Cutter. My wife and I had the fortune of being introduced to Dave Ramsey's Finacial Peace university during a 6 month military school I attended in NC. Prior to that neither of us had ever been taught finacial basics. Growing up we were just always told to "save money"! We realized that unless you have a goal for your savings, we will never go anywhere. Without a plan for how to make our money work for us, we would inevitably become those parents telling their children to "save more" because that's all we ever knew! Knowing that we are novices when it comes to investing, retirement, real estate, and money, we have made a commitment to our future children to educate ourselves and provide for them a better future than was provided for us. This can only be done by finding those that have the wisdom, life experiences, and knowledge to help us learn and grow! We are very excited, very humbled, and very ready to start making our financial future much brighter!
