New member from Granite Bay, CA

Hello! I'm a newbie investor from Granite Bay / Placer County, CA. I've worked full-time in commercial real estate as an appraiser for 12 years, and while I have some tools at my disposal, I don't feel fully ready to invest which is why I've come to Bigger Pockets to educate myself and hopefully use the strength of the community to get me off my duff and finally put some money to work. My wife and I have discussed a number of strategies, but believe our goals would be best met through buy and hold or flipping. It's an exciting new chapter for us and we're looking forward to meeting some locals and getting our feet wet.

@Andrew Burger a warm welcome to BP!  You will love all the information and communication you will find here.  I have an appraisal background myself but only residential...have always been impressed with what a commercial report entails!  I'm located near Granite Bay on Douglas so please feel free to reach out if you would like to network or want to meet with a local lender.  

A couple of tips to get you going: 

To reply to someone, use @theirname so they receive a notification that you have replied to them. 

Use the keywords feature to get notifications when people are talking about topics you are interested in.  For example, I have keywords for Granite Bay, Roseville, Sacramento, and renovation + loan to name a few.
