Finding a better way...
Hi All,
My name is Don and I've dabble with the idea of investing in real estate for quite a while. I've read 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' and have watched more HGTV than I care to admit. I have a pretty demanding job, but after listening to so many podcasts I realize that's not an excuse. I am a visual, experience based learner, and I hope that I can find mentors that I can shadow and see how the business is really done. I work in IT, but I don't mind doing some grunt work for investors that may not be in the tristate area but need someone on the ground to help with a situation. I think my plan is to go buy and hold. I am not against Section 8 renting, but obviously that can change once I know more. I'm hopeful I can find something in the Tri-State to invest in. I've lived in both New Jersey and New York so I know both fairly well, but I'm open to any area that makes sense for my limited budget. Overall, just happy to be here.
Thanks,
Don
