Future Investor in the Maple Valley, Washington area

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to real estate investing and currently soaking up as much knowledge as I can here on the BP site. At the moment I'm living in Aptos, CA but the plan is to move up to WA with my fiance in roughly a year. The home prices here in CA are sky high, so I figure WA will present me with better investing opportunities.

I have a full time job at the moment, and I plan on that continuing after I head to WA. My goal is to begin purchasing income producing properties, either single family or small multifamily. Once I get settled up in Maple Valley I will be focused on learning the local area and start marketing for some deals.

Over the course of the next year my main focus is education in real estate through the BP site, books, etc. Once in WA I want to get out and network with other investors so I can soak up as much info as possible. I've started listening to a podcast a day from BP, beginning with the first episode they ever posted. I just finished number 22. By the time I move to WA I should be all caught up. This site seems like an excellent resource. Once I learn my way around the forums I hope to be more and more involved with this community.

Thanks for all the information!

Pat Sherwood
