Deciding on Investing

Hello my name is Colin from New York and I have been having a few issues. My uncle is doing well in real estate and offered to mentor me and help teach me the ropes. He runs a property management business in Idaho and is doing way better than I ever dreamed of.

The problem is I am enrolled in college for another two years and I have no drive to study in class anymore. I have about 40k in debt from student loans because I was paying it on my own and lived off campus last year. I was majoring in Molecular Genetics and Medical Technology and have recently come to the realization that I don't want to work in a lab or office as my career.

What kind of start up costs should I expect to start my real estate journey?

Also this is my first post and I am so glad that I found this wonderful resource. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can from BiggerPockets!
