New Member from Dallas TX

Hello everyone,

I am a new member here at the BP forums.   I have been listening to the podcasts and reading the blogposts for a couple of months now but have not been active on the forum yet. To give you a little background on myself, I am a CPA and currently work for a hedge fund here in Dallas.  My mother has been a real estate agent for the last 20 years and I have been looking to get in the game myself for a while.  I purchased my first single family home investment property about 7 months ago and like everyone else seeing that rent check deposited each month motivated me even more to continue learning this business. I have been in Dallas now for about two years and would love to expand my network as well as continue to work towards expanding my portfolio. 

I saw on another post there is a DFW REI meetup each month. I signed up for that today and plan to start attending each month. Please say hello and I welcome any and all advice about the DFW real estate community.
