Hi all, I've just joined the forums and am excited about learning more and beginning my journey in REI. I'm a Tulsa native but have moved to the lovely area in Rogers County just outside of Claremore.

I'm a complete newbie - the only RE experience I have is from 25 years ago when I managed my grandparents mobile home park in Tulsa. We bought our house in Claremore 4 years ago, so I suppose that may count as experience too, but our amazing mortgage broker and realtor did all the work. I devoured the free beginners course and am reading the Ultimate Beginners Guide, but I'm also looking forward to participating in the forums and learning from the wonderful members here.

I currently work from home as a Virtual Assistant/Online Business Manager, but the work isn't fulfilling for me and I've been searching for meaningful work for years. I've been assisting business owners with admin support and business management services for 8 years, but after I hit 40 the drive to do work that made a real difference in peoples lives grew much stronger and I feel that REI might be one way I can help provide homes for people while building passive or semi-passive revenue streams for myself, and really make a difference in peoples lives.

I'm still learning about all the niches in REI but from what I've learned so far, and from my experience managing a mobile home park in the past, I'm leaning toward long-term buy and hold/landlording small multi-units and possibly single family homes, and perhaps a bit of flipping, as I really enjoyed the house hunt when we were searching for our house, and my husband and I seem to have a knack for finding great deals on expensive things. LOL We managed to get a great price on our RV, a new car, and our Hobie kayaks which we love. So why not use that luck/talent to find great deals on homes? I did consider briefly that wholesaling might fit, but I don't have a big network and I'm not sure I'd want to get into wholesaling, but I'm open to new experiences, because you never know til you try!

I saw the post about the Tulsa BP Meetup so I hope new members are invited as well - I'd love to meet some of the locals.

Looking forward to some great learning and discussions!
