So I guess this is the First chapter in my story.

My name is Greg.

I lucked into my first home purchase getting a foreclosure in 2010 way below value on a FHA construction loan with only 3% down. 5 years later and my equity has nearly matched the initial purchase price. I'm in a great area. Long term family residence. but the assigned school district here in Lake Balboa/Van Nuys is horrendous. So I started to explore the idea of selling and using the equity as a down on a new home in a better school district. Then in random conversation with a friend, who is loan officer, she told me about one of here clients that leverages his home equity as investments which lead me to google which lead me to Rich Dad Poor Dad which lead me to more questions and ideas which lead to more google which brought me here.

I'm very interested in the idea of buying and holding with long term financial freedom. I'm not looking for get rich quick. I have a Job that I enjoy and am paid well for it but... This is So Cal so... In this rat race I am not getting ahead. Which I plan on changing.

Not sure what direction I will choose yet. I like the Idea of MultiUnit investing but geez even though I feel I have a moderately healthy initial investment So Cal prices are crazy. I could just as easily rent my current residence and move to a new one.

So until I decide I'm here to read and learn. It's seems to be a great resource and I just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi to the community.

On a side note.. I have never listened to a podcast in my life before. I want to thank the folks that are always recommending listening to the BiggerPockets Podcast. I'm just starting with them and they are very informative.
