I'm an accountant...how did I end up in real estate??

I'm the new controller for a group of real estate investing companies. This strange world of real estate is fascinating and terrifying, I have no experience beyond buying a home the traditional way.

I'm trying to learn everything I can - vocabulary, strategy, rules & regulations - so I can more effectively do my job (and possibly set up a retirement for myself).

So, I found this site. It seems like there's a lot of information here and a lot of people involved with real estate. I'm always open to suggestions for new sources of information and tips to keep myself from annoying the moderators! LOL...
